MySpace was just as integrated into people's lives at the time. LiveJournal is still a behemoth and houses an innumerable amount of thriving communities. I would go so far to say that with Zuckerberg at the helm, people will continue to be

Great starting point, I'd love to see females on there. Not sure what it takes to meet the developer status, but you might have good luck with lovely ladies like @divya, @leaverou, @Sunfeet22, @stephaniehobson, @zahnster, @denisejacobs. To

Is it necessary to collect emails before even being able to trial? I'd like to give this a shot, but that's a barrier I'm not breaking.

I'm on the outside, I don't know any of these firms. If this is how important they think experience is, I don't want to work with them.

I will never understand this mentality. A website is a storefront, it creates trust. Do you want your portfolio company working out of a basement, a shack?

Great example; the new Ars Technica gives me a headache. It's clean, but it is impossible to read and harder to navigate. I've been meaning to redesign it myself for fun.

By telling the original authors you'll be sure to 'steer clear' of them in the future for being upset that they weren't credited until it made you look like an ass? Yikes.

I was told to do this by HR after complaining of similar symptoms, citing that I would be 'completely refreshed' afterwards. Two weeks later, I didn't want to come back. Six months and multiple random days off to balance work/life later, I

Not to be an ass, but the first thing I questioned when I came to the site was "If this is the best design they could come up with, what does that mean for the education?" Sign up and design failure aside, I question what this site will do.

To be fair, you'd equate this to Facebook's own integrated ecosystem (groups, events, marketplace) -- not your friends. There's benefits to having my friends and I both on iOS (iMessage, etc.), but the deciding factor for a social network

Keep working on it, but use their app too. See what it does and doesn't do that yours would have. Use it to continue to add features to yours that you would build into theirs to perfect it. Watch their reviews, see what people like and don'

No, what he's saying is that mods need to only be able to mute users, not kick them. Kicking someone out of the room they want to be in only hurts your service -- not the room -- because they won't have any interest in visiting the other ro

Ah, I love when you can tell from someone's portfolio that they didn't design their own website. Sorry this keeps happening to you, it's so silly all these copycats come out of the woodwork after your site(s) are profiled on siteinspire/et
