LESS/Sass completely changes the speed it takes to write things out, cleans up the organizational composition and increases the readability of the file. While I use variables in it (and love it), that isn't the primary reason I do so. You d

Right. For me, I'm not really into selling my resources to other professionals; for that I'd rather hand them out for free and see what they turn into in the hands of other creatives like is done on Dribbble already (also because I imagine

Much like I noted in my comment yesterday about Creative Market, I think that services like these need to be quality-controlled if you want repeat visits from buyers and worthy sellers alike. At first-glance, the content looks pretty tacky

Here in Portland we have a group called Code'n'Splode that takes women who are already working as engineers and gives them an opportunity to sound off on [gender] issues they've had in the workplace as well as coach other women interested i

I love Colourlovers and use it often because it fills a gap designers need and no one else has provided, but the quality of the content on CM insofar seems comparable to free offerings on deviantArt, Dribbble, Premium Pixels, Forrst, et al.

The problem with Metafilter is that $5 over time hasn't scaled. It's been $5 since they implemented it way back when, and as the popularity of the site rose, $5 wasn't enough to stop people from registering to add their pointless commentary

All you can really say to the people that use 99designs is "You get what you pay for." There's always going to be people that don't understand the cost and importance of good design, and as much as I am continually put off when I hear busin
