This article is so strange. What could have been a great place for a piece about the service is now a whiny rant about getting beat to the punch by an embargo breach, a leak; something that we deal with so often these days that there's enou

Perhaps we downloaded different add-ons or I just never found the right one. I had to uninstall quite a few because I was specifically looking for the ability to do clean and simple and instead got really loud and annoying without the depth

So this article really emphasizes how little Ben actually understands what design is. "But good product isn’t pretty: Good product is product that works for users and works for the company." I don't know how many times in my comment history

If anything - look at WordPress, Tumblr, Indexhibit/Cargo Collective and all of the other sites that rely heavily on themes. Spend a few seconds on Cargo Collective if you haven't and then think about all of the designers' portfolios you've

> Add-ons in WoW are usually minimal in design. There's no reason to ever jazz up the UI for WoW - that'd be self defeating. I'd disagree, even the defaults of a lot of the custom UI add-ons were overdone and I had to scale them back. T

As a designer that writes HTML/CSS and a tiny bit of jQuery, I don't consider myself a front-end developer because none of the job listings I see consider me a front-end developer. They ask for knowledge of JavaScript/Ruby/PHP/Drupal, etc.

I live in Portland and use public transit every day. On every article about Trimet on OregonLive, there are people that cite the same numbers you do, that say that these services are useless and that nobody uses them. Until you do use them,

I love this, it puts them in a great position to be able to offer DIY SketchUp-like interior design right from their website simply by inputting your room's dimensions. The boyfriend was just speaking to how useful this would have been for

This is a great suggestion. Every day I see a Show HN or two that are probably losing potential users due to the lack of product information or overload of it. Today Tent.io falls in the latter category, way too much going on for me to dige

And there's a reason they got rid of them. Spending two hours of your life waiting for people to log, relog, get add-ons, read and repeat boss fight documentation just to spend another 6 wiping with ninja loggers wasn't very fun.

UReddit was painful to look at. They really need to get it together before branding themselves under one of the most popular sites on the web. As an example, the first course I looked into had zero follow-up courses or suggestions for the s

This goes against a lot of what I've read in the past, where the 1.5/2 year mark is where you re-evaluate where you are and what you want. My longest stay somewhere was 3.5 years, and that felt like an eternity given the type of work I do a
