Correct. I have no idea why the Gimp designers didn't go with a GUI that is more like photoshop. Someone had a fork called GimpShop but I don't think it's had much maintenance.

True, but adding DRM will make Flash the platform of choice for so much more. Why aren't there 50 competitors to Apple's movie rental product? Because DRM sucks and is expensive. Maybe if Adobe can make flash DRM 'just work' then it will

Have you thought of trying Amazon's simpledb? I just to my beta login and it seems pretty awesome so far. what about couchdb? Still young but can be clustered and will probably way outperform any relational db for the stuff you're describi
