I think the primary reason that windows rt failed totally is no software can run on it at all. Not only you can't run x86 software. You can't even download random executable and run it. It is basically killed by ms itself. It is a

I think quickjs is invented for exact this type of usage. A properly implemented, speed-irrelevant, small runtime for embedded usage. Most pac files are just a few lines and you don't really need a speedy runtime to run it.

I think the whole point of people still use postman today is a easy way the sync between users or manage user that have access to the workspace. There are a lot of alternatives without such features. But with such feature? Not too much.

I don't think I have seen 10G ethernet network card in consumer grade hardware even recently. 10G is there in core infrastructure for a long time. But only until recently you see 2.5Gbps in endpoint devices. (Probably 2.5 makes more se

In the last decade, we have bump link speed from 100m 1G to some board even have 2.5G rj45 port now. I am not sure if move data between kernel and userland at 2.5G/s is even a good idea. And even worse, because kernel still have to dis

If library is deprecated. You replace the library. If framework is deprecated. You give up the project or rewrite 'everything' to use another framework because essentially your project is build on it. That's the difference. I

I think it must be a link if you would expect user want to open in a new tab, no matter it pushes history (navigation) or replaces history (in page tab). There are countless of times that middle click to open new tab didn't work becaus

I think it's just trade off you need to make if you need to make a system that is safe for random user to use. Most linux distro (except Android) just isn't safe enough for a random user to operate at full system privilege. (And s

Their official way to configure the system file is creating a overlay image that contains all necessary change to root file system and load that into system. This way may be more complex for a developer to do, but is much safer to end users
