I mistakenly gave you the impression that I was linking to the spec. I was in fact linking to the infomercial that had a summary of the privacy considerations. The actual spec can be found here: 1. Bluetooth: https://covid19-stat

Is your calculation correct? You only need to download the Diagnosis Keys. How would that be 48MB?

There is nothing wrong with being skeptical, I just think your objections are out of place. If you are really concerned then it's probably best not to use Android or iOS at all, who knows what data might be shared with the government w

Have you even read the spec before dumping your thoughts? They address the privacy concerns explicitly. A short summary: - Doesn't collect personally identifiable information or user location data - People who test positive are not ide

Exactly, this is an important narrative. I've read the spec and I'm really positive (hmm). This could be a game-changer for dealing with the pandemic in a systematic way.

Why do these articles always pretend to be so know-it-all? I really don't like the explicit statement that "Markdown got it wrong", leaving no room for debate. For everything that Gruber supposedly "got wrong", a lo

I cannot imagine a company dictating your Slack habits. If that happens, there is something else entirely at fault and Slack is not the problem. I see Slack receiving the same type of criticism agile work methods get, they all boil down to

Couldn't this be because doctors in hospitals only see patients who require hospitalization? That gives them a bias.

Side note: this translation by Google Translate is amazing. I am a native Dutch speaker and the translation is 100% correct. I had no idea Google Translate was this good.

Heat pumps have higher than 100% efficiency because they extract heat out of air / water. 100% is a very low efficiency for electric heating. Anything lower than 400% is considered below average.

What does "deeply flawed" mean? Is there any proof Telegram has been severely compromized over the last years? It appers not, thus in my opinion it is impossible that Telegram's approach to crypto is "deeply flawed"

I like React Hooks, I like the simplicity. I dislike that it makes reading the code much more difficult. The code required to do a simple "componentDidMount()" is very abstract. It is difficult to reason about what a component doe

I get that Pop!_OS is nice, but Ubuntu 19.10 is super polished out of the box as well. Even though System76 is arguing it is much more than just a reskinned Ubuntu, my final verdict is that it is just a reskinned Ubuntu.
