> - the above should be treated as impediments Why do you say this? This only deflates the meaning of the word impediment. To me it would only create ambiguity when we start using the word impediment for things that are not impediments t

I can type quite fast (easily 100 words / minute), but never had any official training. My hands are always positioned like your second drawing. Could it perhaps be that the standard way people are taught to type (i.e. fingers resting

Why not try to find a perspective that will make things easier for you? You can look at any suggestion and shoot it down for reasons X, Y and Z - that's easy. Try to invest some time in finding out what works for you and focus on that.

Working is not vacation. Sticking to a process is a hygiene factor which doesn't necessarily has to be fun but it makes it possible for companies to be properly managed. That being said, stop complaining. If you can find room to compla

I feel like people who are opposed to agile and scrum often make out things of it that are in no way prescribed by these methodologies. For example, I see people mentioning the idea that with scrum, you should release working software every

I hardly use lodash. What do you use it for? I presume most of your use cases can by easily handled by just using JS from the ECMAScript spec. Personally, I only lodash for the debounce functionality.

It is not only the best possible scenario, it's a beautiful elegant solution that 10 years ago nobody would have dreamed of. This really propelled the web as a platform (although opinions vary on whether the web should be a platform at

JS doesn't compile so all the runtime engines (mainly browsers) need to adopt the new features as well. This takes time. These new features are part of the official ES2019 standard, and Babel makes it possible to use these new language

I would say Amsterdam is one the least bike-friendly cities of The Netherlands. The streets are small, bike lanes are narrow and bike lanes are very crowded. That's not to say your opinion isn't valid, it's just that your exp

I'm tired of discussions concerning "Javascript" and "the web" where absolutely conclusions appear to be drawn. JS is a language, the web is a platform. Ofcourse overusage of JS results in annoying bloated websites,

Honestly, the comments on this thread baffle me. Endless complaining about scrum and everyone who is not a developer is apparently clueless about software. Is this an adequate reflection of reality? This doesn't seem like a very mature

It doesn't lack a design phase. Where do you get this information from? It isn't explicitly prescribed, but no one prohibits you to make designs.
