I don't think it's fair. Simple is subjective. Goals should be objective. I don't want to know and understand the entire context in which a project was conceived.

I totally agree with foo and bar. These words literally mean nothing. I cannot fathom a situation where introducing arbitrarily named variables adds something meaningful. Also funny how the article itself doesn't implement the tips it

The thing that confuses me is that the second example shows a histogram of the user activity which appears to be not a normal distribution. But for pilot dimensions, I would expect the histogram to actually follow a normal distribution. I f

For this reason I wouldn't recommend FastAPI for anything serious. If it works, fine, but if you hit an edge case... prepare for a world of trouble. I wouldn't build my stack on top of it.

I disagree about FastAPI in this list of frameworks. Django and Flask have great documentation, FastAPI does not. There is no API reference for FastAPI, so often you will have to read the source code to understand what options are available

I don't know what universe you're from. Communication kills productivity? The opposite is true. Getting feedback early and often is a productivity booster. Sure, sometimes it's better to ask in a public channel instead of 1:1

You're right but in reality DevOps teams in 2022 are managing Kubernetes clusters and gatekeepers to all kinds of cloud services to facilitate development.

No one ever said a VPS with a shell script is terrible. You think of scale the wrong way. Scaling is not only about increasing from 10 requests / second to 1000 requests / second. Scaling is about organizational scale too, i.e. ho

I completely understand what you're saying, but Python is a lot better now. You don't have to worry about Python 2 anymore and the tooling is a lot better as well (Black, Flake8, Poetry are all really nice).

This question refers to the benefits of containerization and not Kubernetes. But to answer your question: your command is dependent on (1) the availability of Git, (2) Go and (3) systemd on your host OS. Without containers, this list of dep

Simple is subjective and dependent on where you're coming from. If you're used to Kubernetes then managing virtual machines seems needlessly time consuming and vice versa.

The complexity of Kubernetes is overstated, so I think they can. However, it doesn't mean they should. Personally I would just start with a docker-compose.yml and run it on a VPS. In the starting phase you probably don't have much
