Pretty sure China had no part in popularizing it and third party apps had support for it on iPhone a long time ago. I was seeing and using QR codes here in the US back in 2010 or so pretty commonly. They were limited to college campuses and

Flat earth conspiracy is not widespread and is not growing. It’s a thing that’s primarily on the internet. On the grand scheme of things there’s bigger things to worry about than what a tiny fraction of people think.

I’m confused why this is even in doubt? It’s a twenty year old company with over ten thousand employees. How could it not be profitable?

They already sell it to maritime and aviation sectors at significantly less than existing operators, though significantly more than the regular service.

Though note: SpaceX does exactly that. They passively position the positions of the satellites along their orbits so that Starlink satellites don't need to avoid other Starlink satellites in orbital operation.

There's actually no documentation I've ever seen of this so I'm not sure why you're saying it's "well documented".

You can make the same material by originating it from crops and it still wouldn't break down. Also the historical alternatives for this material in most applications are aluminum and glass which also will not break down in landfills.

I'd argue this is one of the okay uses for petroleum as it's converted directly into a high value product and not emitted as pollution. I assume people don't do a lot of throwing away of Lego bricks. Going into the future I p

Taken to the limit with infinite energy there's zero reason to cause any pollution at all. You can incinerate into pure molecular material anything and then convert it back into any product you want. Consumption does not mean pollution

Thanks for the sources, as said this shows the article is highly suspect if your "maximum theoretical energy density" figure already is beaten by in-the-market devices.

No concrete reached the surrounding city or infrastructure. There seems to be a false propaganda spreading that people were endangered by this launch. That couldn't be further from the truth.
