That is where MQTT-SN comes in. I have used it over NB-IOT and then a gateway to full MQTT over mTLS to AWS IoT.

yep. I used it when I had to talk to all my friends on msn messanger etc.. one app to talk to everyone no matter what they where using. Now I have to have 10 different apps to talk to just 10 friends.

I do not have home automation However I use Home assistant. Why, because it shows me what is going on.... Its a dashboard for my house.

I think this is exactly the point of the developers, First seal to see Then seal to control Home assistant is the "see" bit. Then you use it (or something else) to control the process

Originally it was curiosity, however of has moved on from that. I work in the traffic industry. If we can slow people down before they reach the queue, then we can reduce the impact of them joining the queue (co2 etc....).
