It is already 6 years old. I had a great time reading it when a friend recommended it to me about 3 years ago: The Circle by Dave Eggers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Circle_(Eggers_novel) And do yourself a favou

Nope, I actually do refer to fonts as you know them. Long story short, prior to linux kernel 4.19 and brltty 6.0, only those characters that are mapped to a glyph in the currently loaded console font can be backtranslated to the actual cod

As a braille user, I was always fond of "laptops" without a built-in display, simply to save ssace, weight and power. I found a braille display which features a small compartment with micro-USB inside. Used a Pi Zero (these days

I terminated all my TV related subscriptions over the past two years and now also finally sold my TV. One of my best moves ever. I am not missing anything, have a lot more useful spare time, and save around 1k a year.

No, but realisticly speaking, you are not the most liked person in a company if you had to sue the company for discrimination. Additionally, I am a tech person, and not a lawyer. Sueing my employer to allow me to work productively doesn&#x

Oh, you are indeede refering to automatic text crippling? No, thanks, I wouldn't touch such a thing. That is not what accessibility is about.

To answer that, I'd need to know what you actually mean by summary. Most screen readers present an overview of the number of HTML elements in a page when it just loaded. Something like "5 headings and 28 paragraphs".

Before a case like this would ever go through and have a positive effect, thausands of vision impaired people worldwide have already lost their job or could not begin a new one because of lack of accessibility of these platforms. The damag

Agreed. And, there is a lot of dishonesty when it comes to how childcare money is spent. Case in point: My parents received about 100000 EUR in disability care money over the 14 years I was living at home. In that time, my family didn&#x

I submit that people with a sleep disorder dont have a need for a speep tracker either. Just because there is technology to do something doesn't mean it is the best choice to use it.

I have one golden rule: Where I sleep, there are no electronic devices. I am surrounded by techy stuff all day long. I want a break from all of it altleast 8 hours a day. I would never let a device track my sleep on a regular basis. F

Absolute equality is not realistic. People are not equal, individuals are different from eachother. And I say that as someone belonging to a minority group. However, I am convinced that equality can not be forced. Differences are what m
