People have different opinions. I am pretty sure you are not qualified to assess how smart someone is via the Internet. You just believe your opinion is more worthy or more accepted then the one you are attacking. And I couldn't agre

I totally get what he is trying to say. It is becoming so obvious after 8 months of social isolation, lockdowns and a ton of toxicity in the community. The aftermath of this "lets lock down everything to protect a few" strategy

You call going to a cafeteria a hard challenge? Wow, that is really aiming low. Lets list a few hard challenges: * Read a book with your fingers. At least 300 paperback pages. That will be about 2000 braille pages. * Cross a road which

Guess what? A ton of blind people is being injured daily while trying to life alongside a bunch of mostly ignorant spoiled brats. Nobody writes a newspaper articles when I trip over a badly placed bicycle and ramm a part of it into my gut.

If the carrier hasn't fucked with the defaults, you should be able to launch VoiceOver with a tripple-press on the home button. I don't know how it works with the new home-button-less devices, I dont have any of those.

You could, for instance, try to get your daily dose of reddit with your iPhone. Switch on VoiceOver, and enjoy the wonderful world of accessible mainstream media. And definitely try crossing a few streets. Grab a cane, and off you go. But

Seriously? I am blind, and I find this article pretty pathetic. If you dont attempt to interact with your environment, this is no challenge. I know people who have done a similar thing for 24 hours, however, they went to the uni cafeteria

This would make these projects non-DFSG-compliant, and Debian (and its derivatives) could no longer distribute a package. I totally get the idea of boycott. But the definition of freeness says that if you do that, you are no longer free.

About time people start to stand up against certain measures. It has become pretty obvious that governments are using the pandemic to figure out how much they can fuck with citizens without them rioting. In the last 8 months, the so-called

This assumes that everyone caring for children is automatically "sacrificing their career". That is not true. There are still women who are not really interested in persuing a career they'd need to sacrifice to care for a c

I doubt this is limited to Italy. It has become a meme that a guy is likely to suffer more during a separation if she is motivated and gets herself a good lawyer. If she insists to get the kids, she will. If she doesnt want him to see the

Its no longer relevant to me nor him, but I can't help but think the attitude of this article kind of violates the DFSG. If the stance is to insist that free software should be allowed to be redistributed by anyone, flaming those which

Two things need to be said: This reminds me of my earliest complex dream. As a child, when I first learnt our home address I immediately dreamed a rather long story where our house was robbed and I was mailed to the other side of the plane

Everyone still in their right mind should quit Twitter. Actual, now is a very good moment to do so. Quit before the election. You're not going to miss anything healthy.

Indeed. My main use case for youtube-dl is via mpv -no-video. I am blind. I can not always use a web browser to access a lecture. Being able to play YT videos on the terminal is a godsent feature for me.

Something similar applies here with weapons. If you are a legal weapon owner, it is expected of you that you take care so that nobody can just pick up your gun and start shooting. You need to store it unloaded, munitions stored separately
