I've recently also heard "the email address is not visible by default" in a postmortem. This is a UX problem which leads to increased vulnerability. It needs to be fixed.

You pretty much nailed it. I am filtering a lot of stuff because I refuse to use certain modern flashy technologies. Office 365, yeah, go away. Firefox? Only on a dedicated machine if I really need it. Emacs, SSH, tmux, old fashioned em

How is this related to a job offer from a department that doesn't exist at all? And no, it wasn't particularily interesting since I am incapable of falling for optical illusions.

Simple. Either call or reply asking him why he didn't send this mail to the secretary. If you can't be so direct with your boss, find another job.

I have yet to see a scam which would fool me. And I have seen many already. All the scam and phishing mails I saw in my whole internet career were somewhere between totally obvious and embarrasingly blunt. I can't agree with your asse

Indeed, the ratio works out, at least for me. I get help even at night time. As far as I understand, the algorithms uses distance and language to find a helper. So if nobody near me is awake, I can still get help from people speaking m

I would imagine that someone inclined to live in the bushes by themselves would be interested in/wanting to build their shelter themselves, or at least use something that has natural origin. At least that is how I imagine it. What di

What an absurd story. Wikipedia lists one travel, in fact the first and last one. How sad. And why the heck do you venture out into the bushes only to live in a abandoned bus? I mean, yeah, how convenient. I can see that. But it is

Same here. There are exceptions to everything, but to me it feels like if someone distributes their work via Docker they are actually not on top of the complexity they are trying to deal with. Pushing that complexity into something like a

Maybe I was just unlucky... But when I tried Nix, the first thing that happened was that it did not deliver what it promised. The package was not properly isolated, so it ended up depending on something from /usr/ /bin. T

A dilemma. Years and years of propaganda towards capitalism have trained people that individualism is the holy grail. Even the american dream basically says that you as an individual can change things because your perspective is unique.
