Huh, PGP encrypted messages aren't authenticated? (No HMAC etc)

Looks fairly polished, good work. It seems to be simplifying coast/river edges into straight line segments a bit too much? It's subtle, but I'm comparing to the default openstreetmap.org renderer.

Note that Dropbear will read urandom upon each incoming connection so that should be mitigated in many circumstances. (Hopefully some systems are using the delayed hostkey generation option too)

I always thought the Farnell -> Element14 rebranding was a bit shortsighted!

Lots of modern construction wood is laminated together with plastic. I'm sure people would adapt though.

If everyone* just ran a full recursing resolver would that cause undue load on the root-servers? Seems like a sane way to decentralise. * Actually only ~1% of internet users, the kind of people that install openwrt

I don't think 3khz is enough. Say you can scan your eyes 180deg in 0.1s, and at 3m distance you can discern 1mm features. If it's 8bit PWM at lowest output (1/256 on-rate) you need about 3(m) x 3.14(pi) / 0.1(s) / 0

PWM is fine. Just needs to be fast enough.

Yep, the problem with LEDs is it's such a tiny point source. Lights like Busch & Müller's are better - the LED isn't directly visible out the front, it shines off a reflector. Problems solved by German regulation (StVZO)!

I can't see why they couldn't sync with linux/windows/android as well as storing the entries in OSX keychain. "run of the mill" is me taking a lazy jab at their description of advantages of Lockbox - they need

Boo, looks like osx keychain integration will still languish ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106400 Reported 17 years ago). I'm puzzled what Lockbox is mean to do. https://mozilla-lockbox.githu

I like Google News to browse, but their forced news-on-every-android-chrome-new-tab is the reason I've uninstalled Chrome and gone to Firefox. I was surprised, Android Firefox is actually a pretty competitive browser these days! Hooray

Why do you say it's FFT based? The paper https://arxiv.org/pdf/1704.01279.pdf appears to be generating temporal samples, the FFT based one is their baseline comparison.

I guess the same research could help design tattoo inks that don't blur as much as they age. Let the new macrophages keep the pigment more stationary somehow.

In case anyone else was wondering how longjmp() over the Rust code isn't a problem regardless: "There are only Copy types on the rust stack frame being jumped over." https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/
