It’s so exciting watching that dev fund number climb faster and faster. I mean just in the past year donations grew by about 20%, and seeing so many new corporate sponsors join up too... It’s just inspiring.

As a long-time Mac and Blender user, I used to be in the same camp. After looking into it though, I found out implementing Metal support would take thousands of developer hours, and knowing that I think I would rather just trust the Foundat

I work exclusively using Blender doing professional product visualization. It’s really an incredible triumph of open-source software. EDIT: I actually haven’t tried Max or Maya, but then again, I haven’t needed to. Blender’s feature set has

Right? I also find the accelerating growth of their dev fund really exciting. Somehow this software just keeps getting more promising!

You’re lucky enough to have started in the post 2.8 era :) Things used to be a lot less user friendly interface-wise. It was a major weakness of the program until 2.8 launched and magically fixed everything. The Blender Foundation is REALLY

I can without a doubt say that Blender is my number one favorite piece of software I’ve ever used! The speed of development is breakneck now, but the program still runs solid and stable, and the community around the program is excellent, to

This is the first I’ve heard of this project. Got my hopes up, but apparently development has been slow and controversial? Sigh, guess we’ll have to wait a little longer for The Oasis.

Oddly enough, I’ve noticed this even down at my level as a teenager who worked as water-park lifeguard last summer. We had two months of rigorous training before we could even start work, and because the park I worked at was huge and very s

I have a good friend with Williams syndrome—one of the nicest and most caring people I know. He has extreme emotional swings, but unless I hadn’t been told by his parents, I’d never have realized he had any sort of diagnosable condition.

I’m one of those people who thoroughly enjoys scam baiting. I answer every robocall I can, and connect to a live scanner whenever possible. Every minute of theirs I waste is a minute they’re not successfully scamming someone else.
