I've made a benchmark of Bend running a simple counter program on CPU vs GPU, vs Haskell,Node,Python,C that I plan to write a blogpost about, probably this Sunday: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V_DZP

NewPipe would be absolutely awesome, if only it didn't crash five times a day with a focus-stealing crash report window.

I'd love for this to also allow for shades of gray (the Fallout 1/2 bitmap font is antialiased). It would likely mean harder OTF exporting process for you though. Color fonts are still not supported everywhere, my last attempt end

Can you please list which of these compiler bugs are _major_? There was a commonly encountered compiler bug in 0.19.0 (Map.! crash) and the 0.19.1 version was the result of fixing that. During 4 years of writing Elm full-time (close to 500k

Not to diss on Haskell, but to illustrate the difference: There's an entire HaskellX 2022 talk about "language extensions we use, extensions we are cautious about, extensions we never use". There are many ways to solve proble

Some Elm companies I know of are (writing new code) Permutive, Scrive, Vendr, DX, and (not sure what the current status is) GWI, Holmusk, NoRedInk, Dividat, Brilliant.

Author note: The original title is "Property based testing: tale of two shrinkers", which is retroactively a bit bad title choice on my part; the title I submitted it under sums the content up better I believe. This is a talk I ga

FWIW Evan (author of Elm) has explicitly said a fork is absolutely fine if it has a different enough name.

Permutive, where I work, is using Elm for its product frontend. GWI has some hundreds of thousands of lines of Elm in its flagship product as well.

Very nice! Bookmarked. I found a small bug: `5 hours 20 minutes` will give you `5 hr 19 min 60 s`. This only happens with some numbers in the minutes slot.

You can't record _videos_ of a specific window though. You can only record a fixed region of the screen or the whole screen. "Capture selected window" only deals with screenshots, not with video.
