Absolutely, nothing wrong in disagreeing. As a matter of fact some of the best insights spring from respectful disagreement.

I think you're mistaken. RMS has changed the world exactly because his convictions are so strong that he lives by them in every little detail. If you notice it people that change the world almost always religiously live by what they preac

You underestimate the signal he sends by instisting on free software. If you look at the isolated incident of RMS insisting on only using machines where the software is free (as in freedom) it doesn't make mucha of a difference as you say.

This is amazingly well done advertising. Notice the following: - Tom dickens is perfectly casted, geeky yet funny and very likable. Oh, and guys in lab-coats are always believable, which is why they're used so often in tv ads. - The graphic

I've actually had some experience on both sides of the table. When I did my first software startup I had no idea how to code, but since I'm pretty good at convincing people, calling bullshit, diplomacy, etc. I managed to get funded and got

There's also the problem of availability of unique status updates, the lower your character count the fewer unique status updates there will be. If you launch a service with only 1 character there will only be 25 possible status updates. Pe

Sure, I'll give a free premium account to anyone on HN that asks. I have a blog over at http://www.maximise.dk/blog but it's boring and there are definitely no posts that are only 14 characters.

Apple's elephant in the room is Steve Jobs. He's undoubtedly one of the greatest, if not the greatest business leader of the twentieth century, and a lot of Apple's fortunes can directly be ascribed to him being at the helm of the company
