I had the same issue as you. Had to copy and paste the link.

Yeah, I did write it myself, yes. It's actually a very simple program. I heard so many great things about ratatui. I am, however, not well versed in Rust. Only did a couple of toy little things in it.

This whole tool is much more a display of what termbox2 can do in couple of lines tbh :) You are so right about that. It's an amazing library. And all that juice in one stb-style header file. You just gotta love it. And if you are inte

It is interesting that somehow every conversation now pivots to LLM's. It's almost like people are paranoid or something. I have no issue with AI. But it should be used carefully when learning/working so you don't miss t

Gnome has done an amazing job at this, I agree. You don't even notice this issue.

I do agree with some of your sentiment. But by that logic, nothing would ever be made. The same goes with aliases. Why not just use the actual commands. You give it your best shot, and sometimes something good comes out. And sometimes it&#x

That was the exact reason for it. I made my own window manager for fun and was missing a simple way of changing default apps.

This was not my argument. Maybe I presented it poorly. I agree with you on different versions being available, but that is not always the case. And in those cases you need to do some unsavory things with symlinking. It is not about graduati

I like Nix and have been using it as a nix-shell for about 2 years and been loving it. Maybe I should just go full in and install it as my OS.

I partially agree with you that this could be a slippery slope, but there is a difference here. TinyMCE is not burning through API and CDN resources of the dependencies it is using. Matt mentioned it's costing them millions per year to

You are not alone in this. I have found myself stubbornly writing a complex Makefile when I should have just written a simple shell script and be done with it.

You make valid points. I would, however say that I primarily use make as a task runner for simple projects. If I have a "larger" project, at some point I would also probably opt for something closer to that language to squeeze out

I totally get it. I know the feeling. I have written some complex Makefiles in the past for C projects that looked completely horrid. For smaller projects I like make and people who work with me and know me always first check Makefile to se

I made this https://textarea.cc for myself a while ago. I use the LanguageTool browser extension for spellchecking. Mainly just a textarea field with a touch of JS sprinkled on top of it.
