I'll phrase it more that I see significantly more memory use in Chrome for long lived processes than I do with Safari. That said, eventually both get to 6g of ram in use and a restart is needed anyway.

More ram in use generally means more javascript crap running. Which means higher cpu/energy use. Its not the memory use its what is using the memory.

Backplanes generally that communicate state would be one example. It is mostly things that users shouldn't care about and can easily break things if they try poking about.

Generally the lawyers say the need to divulge keys in hardware is the biggest problem. That's a clear problem for a hardware company trying to secure things.

So I exaggerated myself in the "crazy territory" comment, regardless its basically how I feel about GPLv3. So what FUD specifically is there about GPLv3 then? How is the anti-tivoization clause helpful to companies then? It honest

I think the primary problem was the FSF doubling down on copyleft with gplv3. I think at that point companies realized they'd need to take a more active role in how things are licensed. And despite LLVM's and clang's history

You're getting downvoted because you don't have an argument. All I see is rampant supposition and vitriol in your comment. It is hard to understand an argument when none is presented. How is this fascism if the FCC has the power

I always saw it as the classical: why do you want a screwdriver to put the screw in place? The hammer should be good enough! Well, sure, I guess you can pound a screw into things with a hammer but you're missing the point.

The only counter I have to "it wouldn't be all that hard to..." statements is that it is 2015, emacs can't even refactor things like xcode can do. And xcode is considered horrible by refactoring standards. If it were so

So my plan for alpine linux was to see how well a busy box + musl libc based distro would be for day to day use. That and its on disk size was mostly the motivation. The grsecurity stuff was less a focus to be honest. Stability wise as long

Open loop is lighter than closed. No need for a closed loop if you have a set time of operation. I thought I heard they were also pumping the fuel through the system as well so I imagine this amounts to just a bit more propellant and anothe
