Exactly. I got on twitter to follow certain people. Most of the time its great but honestly what sucks is there is so much noise I just ignore everything. And I'm a technical person willing to put up with a lot of BS. But I can't

The enormous is likely referring to efficiency of the mass to work. Ion engines are similar in that regard. They're great in that it is a constant thrust even though the impulse is low. Now as to why this may produce thrust, I'll

This is why you dump out source after the preprocessor has had its way with it. gcc -E somethinghokey.c | less The only thing you could hope to do would be to look for PRIVMSG in the binary after compiling or to look at the file post prepro

For objective c on osx generally "private" means: we didn't put it in the header file, but you can obviously dump out that information and glean what functions do what. Then because objective c function calls are just message

Yep, either IBM says ok thanks we'll move this hardware to somewhere else. Or the other odd thing about mainframes, they ship them out fully loaded, and make it so they can turn on the hardware you want if you need it. Yeah, it is a we

I used to work at a place that did this. The only issue we ran into was memory was HELLA expensive on the z series boxes. It was to the point that it was cheaper to buy an hp server with 1TiB ram than get 16g of ram from the zaaps. That and

Which I find funny because I've been using ipv6 at home for 3 years now with no real issues. At least ipv6 is useful, unlike DNF. Comcast gets a lot of heat, but they at least have done ipv6 right.

I really don't know how to parse that last sentence. What is the logic (or lack thereof) there? I don't keep up with what the BBC gets done to it by the UK government.

What intrigues me is the network stacks on linux for 40 gigabit network adapters ignore the kernel for as much as they can. Perhaps microkernels make more sense for our future hardware. Dunno just shooting from the hip here.

I grew up on a farm/ranch. We had about 5000 acres of land, split 3/2 pasture/fields. Even that was barely break even with 14 hour days in the summers. Equipment upkeep and maintenance is the worst.
