That and limiting the amount of energy that could be released if there is a defect. I don't think i'd want a 1Kwh battery on a plane.

It sucks because getting good sake in the midwest is... hard at best. Every place that has sake has no friggin clue how to even know if something is good. Stocking up like crazy will only work so long, and making sake isn't exactly som

I'm upgrading from my iPhone 6+, so in my case 3 years. And it works out to about $1 a day. Which is in the whatever category. Expensive, sure, but at this point skipping every other generation or every every third generation is fine.

So I just had a quick run to my favorite sake site, it looks like I can still order sake (I ordered a Junmai Ginjo). Interestingly North Dakota (random state that can ship wine) can't get sake shipped. I wonder if sake qualifies as som

Correct on concept, but up until 2008 nobody produced one reliably. You can find references and hints to them all the way back to maxwell's day. They tended to be regarded as anomalous circuits back then however.

How? The first memristor was created in 2008.

Doubtful, the first purpose built memristor existed in 2008. Though to be honest we've seen them since the 1800's as oddities in certain electrical circuits. They've been theorized since 1971 mathmatically but until fairly re

Here's my advice go to GitHub and type: filename:Vagrantfile thing you're looking for You'd be suprised how many hidden gems are on GitHub that you can use to figure out how to use vagrant. This tip applies more generally.

Some of the captchas I get lately have honestly made me think I'm probably not a human as far too often I can't make heads or tails of the letters. At a certain point I just give up and refuse to use the worst sites that use this

That would be avoidable until I'm back on power. Fundamentally the issue here is energy consumption while on battery. Without a way to say: a site can use N% of battery and then hard cap the usage down to a trickle and alerting the sit

Really? My choice for the "modern" web is: no battery life or no web? Faustian bargains like that aren't a great definition of progress.

Yep, 4chan will have a field day with this. I think the goal of this is to harness the wisdom of experts, but can't help but think the end result of this will just be more noise in signal to noise search ratio. Without human input as t

For a mobile phone it might make sense to check more often as they tend to either move timezones more often, or be powered off and then back on again.
