Wondering why Phind is not more commonly considered, integration with VS Code is stellar, and the quality is pretty good.

My biggest gripes are mostly Atlassian's fault, in that their products seem to take AGES to load (wasting my time) while also providing a UX that seems designed to force as many page loads as possible (wasting even MORE of my time). Th

Also forgot to mention if it wasn't obvious - I'm not a STEM researcher and don't have aspirations to use a notes app beyond notes, but I am curious about efficiency, simplicity and workflow.

Longtime Joplin [1] user here, how does the most recent version of Zettlr compare? I have grown really comfortable with the simple interface of Joplin, plus using S3 for sync makes life easy for me as I'm living on my own infrastructur

From the study: "In terms of cost, we estimate that – during over 13 years of its deployment – 819 million hours of human time has been spent on reCAPTCHA, which corresponds to at least $6.1 billion USD in wages. Traffic resulting from

Not only that, but adding insult to injury - the whole captcha process is being abused by Google for their surveillance capitalism. Just load a captcha-blocked page in a fresh browser with no google accounts every being used - you got like

Why? Do they mandate process or procedure policies that kill productive organizations, or what? I'm genuinely curious.

Small startup with brand new team, no devops/infrastructure/security. Most engineers are mid-level and not really strong on infrastructure, they are hired to build features and backend. In this environment something like Porter Cl

I feel your frustration, it should either be free or not-free. Stop pretending to be both, while ending up being neither! Maybe we can start to refer to these types of projects as GOSS (Gated Open Source Software) or maybe COSS (Crippled Op

Wouldn't the exact opposite focus have a better effect? Going after the "evil corporations" would mean nobody was collecting the data in the first place, which would also take away the "evil government" as they have

Gotta give them credit for at least having a public pricing page though. That is something I will NEVER understand, some companies somehow think that making this information a PITA to access somehow helps their business?
