My question is: if you can code in C++, why should you write C++ on top of GraalVM instead of going native (and faster)?

Exactly. Add a little bit of jaxws, jpa, javafx stuff and it won't work. Still today, jlink for the above modules won't work (not generating jmods, especially all those jakarta.xxx stuff) with original tool, imagine with GraalVM.

They announced there will be no Bootcamp, I hope there will be a possibility to install other OSes as well on their new machines. This is critical especially when they make their older devices "EOL" and there are no more OS update

if Microsoft ports the whole business applications to ARM, there might be hope, but without them, It's hard

With just less than 10% of market share, do you really think it will change the whole thing? Unless Microsoft pushes for ARM too, I don't see any changes soon

it all depends on how do you maintain relations. Living abroad, having a few friends and contact locally but a lot of connections non easily reachable physically makes the shutdown of FB, WA or IG hard, especially when most of your contacts

There was less software running on PowerPC than x86 back then and still there's less software running on Arm than x86, especially the key ones like professional ones (above all, Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Blender, Ableton, etc.) Arm chips m

Async writing is powerful but unfortunately, it requires also dedicated time slots to achieve it. When you have the constant pressure from management to do X instead of writing on Y in a limited time, then you have no chance to write beauti
