If cloud services are such an issue (as they would be for me) then it's worth considering the security of local logs and whatever. Maybe limit lifetime, or even use FDE.

I disagree. In TFA, there's the argument that human invasion of more and more wildlife habitat has increased the risk for zoonosis: > Yes. EcoHealth Alliance, an NGO, and others, looked at all reported outbreaks since 1940. They cam

To me, this indicates that zoonotic diseases are feedback to human population exceeding the planet's carrying capacity.

I vaguely remember reading about buses that board ~like subways, through multiple doors, from ~stations. Maybe in Brazil?

The app doesn't need to grab anything until the users selects paste. The added latency would be miniscule.

There's a Russian spoof of "Terminator" which has Arnold going back to kill Judas. With the iconic lever-action shotgun (not consistent, I know). But Christ keeps bringing him back to life, to satisfy his father's will.

I've probably watched it over ten times, and sections of it far more. And I still don't quite understand the storyline. In particular, what's up with that hangar full of troops and equipment at the "end"?

OK, so the messaging app is a fork of Signal that uses arbitrary IDs instead of phone numbers. That alone is a huge win for me. But what I find most interesting is its built-in anonymity. Like Tor, it uses an onion routing network where onl

You can delete the "Loki News" contact, but not the "Session Updates" one. Although I don't have a problem with either, it would be good if users could opt out. They are messages. I'm guessing that's bec

It's not a cryotocurrency. It's a private blockchain. As I understand it, it incentivises nodes to play nice. Signal's requirement for phone numbers is an absolute red flag for me. And using contact lists seems insane. I&#x
