> Motorbikes are the worst offender here. Here too, except in winter. I'm out in the country, in the northeastern US, in hilly country. Late at night, with the windows open, I can hear bikes for maybe 5-10 km. I can even tell which roads they're on. Edit: In the winter, there are the snowmobiles, but our windows are closed.
