My experience is the opposite - Chase nickle and dimed me and made me pay fees if I didn't jump through certain hoops. It made me go back to my credit union.

Thanks to modern banking, you don't need to be in the same city as your credit union. I've used the same CU for 20 years, the last 8 of which has been 2000 miles away from it.

More along the lines of giving you control to allow brands you trust to know more about you. Imperfect markets exist because of the unbalance of information, which is why adtech with its information is in demand. This is already happening

That doesn't mean they're not subsidizing individual markets to remain competitive though. It just means the average is marginal. IIRC Uber lost $2B on the Chinese marketing simply because of subsidies.

If it's any consolation, a big CPU suck is friend-or-foe checks being done by characters on everyone in sight, in every tick. That came out last year-ish and making smaller taverns can (slightly) improve processing.
