I mean...an extra 50 watts maybe? Not great but doesn’t seem like a huge deal.

Built a level monitor for my 5k gallon water storage tank. Used a raspberry pi zero w & ultrasonic range finder. Tweeted about it some: https://twitter.com/minitoar/status/1343654848907018240

Unfortunate they called it a 'coin' then. Maybe it should've been Bitgold. Digimetal.

Sorta. Where else would you advertise if you’re specifically trying to reach people who are doing web searches for your product category?

Yes, this only matters if you don’t want to leak the time component, eg to thwart people from estimating how many total active users you have.

A benefit of ULIDs is the better index performance. Adding a second id column kinda undermines that, since you’ll need an index there as well.

Not good if you’re using them in a situation where they are visible to the public (eg urls) and you don’t want to leak the time component.

Love that they just glue a magnet to the shell then presumably use a Hall sensor or reed switch. Cyborg shellfish.

Yes, Lilies are exceedingly toxic to cats...if you have cats, do not allow them near lilies.

I think the implication is that you also enhance the infrastructure to support these apartments. Note that the population of SF increases by about 20% during the workday due to commuters.

In my experience, product teams and engineering managers are absolutely incompetent when it comes to this basic...product management. I understand the value of having them do what you describe but I’ve never seen it done.

Grew up in Sonoma County, love the pasta king. Whenever we go to the Sonoma County fair it’s a tradition to visit his permanent food stall, and get a massive plate of spaghetti to share. Also lost count of the number of charity dinners

It’s not comparable in the sense that you’re comparing an offline experience with an online one. It’s like comparing a knapsack of books to a library.
