Don't use Hacker News self-posts to obfuscate blogspam, it doesn't work.

They will if it becomes a political issue that causes regulation, which is looking likely.

tbh I don't think it's a Matt sockpuppet; Matt would definitely comment himself.

Here's the Tech Specs page, which is slightly more hidden: https://www.apple.com/iphone-duo/specs/ Notably, the inner screen has a nano‑texture finish (which Apple normally upcharges significantly for), which

The presentation went into extra detail about durability w/ a titanium construction, and the iPhone Air was indeed super durable with it. The hinge at-the-least looks like it could survive the dust test.

I'll give John Ternus credit: the demos are interesting and fun . Maybe not $2k fun + inherent risk with buying the first generation of an Apple product particularly after the Apple Vision Pro, but still.

Both of these features have been on existing models (which I've used) for quite awhile and are not unknown quantities.

Apple Watch is hitting diminishing returns feature-wise. I'm happy with my Series 11 but "it has more accurate heart sensors" isn't really revolutionary, and I believe some of the Apple Intelligence features will be back

The AirPods 4 has an ANC option which is weaker than the Pro; this new version just has it baseline and cheaper (and better).

It has been possible to create convincingly cheap image misinformation for over a year (Nano Banana last August) but civil society has not collapsed. There are also open-weight models of similar quality and functionality without any safegua
