The SRE team at our company decided to adopt k8s and Helm chart and ArgoCD and whatever. That's cool. Do whatever you want. A few months later they told us, "since we are extremely busy and undermanned, we ask app teams to take ca

I agree. If Cubase and Dorico work on Linux, I'll immediately switch to Linux.

My company still sticks to Scala2 so I may be misinformed, but I heard Scala3 tuples cannot completely replace Shapeless, like missing LabelledGeneric equivalent?

My main complaint is the poor IDE support. Shapeless breaks everything so casually. > We acknowledge that there is still work to do. The IntelliJ team is working hard on bringing the best support for Scala 3, and you can expect more impr

Interesting that the tech these days is going in the opposite direction. These trends to hide technical details (e.g. files on iPhone) can get really frustrating when it doesn't work. Almost a mockery.

Obviously you don't understand the Japanese market. College graduates earn ¥2,160,000 in average in their first year. So yeah, $18,000 is not cheap at all. As I said you can buy a brand new Suzuki Spacia for ¥1,500,000, and it's n

I don't think this goes well. $18,000 is not cheap at all. People will just buy Spacia for $10,000 and can't be happier.

I'm not sure you are being sarcastic or not, but it is absolutely the best aspect of having the lingua franca. In an ideal world where I had an infinite time, I'd love to learn Slovenian, but obviously I don't, and my life is

I'm not sure. I really don't think LDP has lost. They're still the most popular party. Ishin and 国民民主(I don't know their English name) are basically the same neoconservertives as LDP. More liberal parties, CDP, communist

Thanks for your reply. > That is not quite as true as it used to be. Interesting, let's see how it will change or not. > Maybe I can discuss the issue in more detail in another article. I definitely look forward to it.

To be fair, it's much easier to learn English if your mother tongue is a variant of Indo-European.

A few random thoughts from a Japanese programmer: (warning: not gonna be fun read) * As far as I can tell, most Japanese programmers can read at least some portion of English software documentations * English in Japan is always about the U.

Your comment is misleading. What the CTO said is that, "build [failure] with bitwarden_license directory removed" is a bug. It doesn't change the fact that the SDK is not released under the free license. EDIT: citation EDIT2:

I loved it, I paid for it, I even recommended it to my friends and they loved it too... Now I'm gonna move to KeePassXC. What is the recommended way to sync the db with Android? I only have a Raspberry PI server running cloudflared.

Genshin and Breath of the Wild are targeting entirely different audiences, and I don't think Palworld has ripped off Pokemon (yet). Besides, I agree that Nintendo is behaving badly.
