I agree, it seems that smaller companies as for more work for less. Usually, in my experience, they need something to outfast, but don't care if its made correctly since they just need to look good to sell the business.

They have to build out a real world portfolio to be able to get clients on their own... and that will be created through real experience, not just school work. So, being an intern makes sense, but they should make a living wage.

I've been living and working in NYC for several years now and my expereince with this has varied. It depends on what industry you're looking at. Making websites or apps for marketing and advertising firms will always demand more of your tim

I've consulted in NYC design shops where most of the designs and documentation were being done by interns. They were available 24/7 and extremely bright; the business couldn't have gotten anything out without them. The full time people and

I had previously forwarded this BBC article to some of my friends, many of whom replied with "this is just like me!" I'll wake up for a couple of hours every now and again and just read and walk around the house and do things. In the mornin

Google's email isn't encrypted, it is sent as text over a network. Authentication doesn't change the fact that your email can be intercepted through the network in which it has been sent or received.

I've not had the same experience, at least with the Google results I've gotten from the flight number. I've not tried anything otherwise, but I do track a lot of flights since I travel a lot as well as my family. Where have you been checkin

So many people love Mach3... its almost like they made too good of a razor for their own good ;)

Why are they trying to get people to stop using Mach 3? Is it just to get more sales on the new razor or is there some kind of issue with the Mach 3?

Spotify uses peer-to-peer ( http://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Desktop-Linux-Mac-and/O... ) which makes it bad UX for me. I've been using Mog for a while, but had I run into Rdio first, I might have picked them instead.

Put all of those words in a box, then put that box in another box, tie a rock to it, and throw the whole thing in the ocean. Then, we need a new box for "at the end of the day" and "drill down" etc...

Austin is the self-proclaimed 'live music capital'. I lived there for 8 years, and, to my understanding, spontaneous performances anywhere will be shut down not matter what time of year it is, and especially if its on private property. Real

I really enjoy using CompoundJS for quick prototypes. Wish there was a larger community though; well, really, I wish any of the MVC nodeJS frameworks had the kind of community that Rails and Django have.

I agree with you, seems that there are a million different frameworks but not enough community around one to make any of them really stick . If all the devs for those different projects could just put their heads together into one project.

Thats true, seems like that is what algebra books try to do when covering topics like factoring. You learn to factor and then, later on, you use factoring to solve a bigger problem. You could teach in small chunks and work up to big chunks

I think the issue is: to buy a Lenovo machine is to buy Windows. There is no other option but to have to pay for Windows with your machine. One can't just buy a laptop with nothing on it. This can be seen as unfair to the customer in many c
