I'm not a petrochemist, but I think reforming/cracking is an old technology which allows you to produce syngas and smaller alkanes (methane, propane etc).

IIRC smokers change their inhaling patterns with 'light' cigarettes - they inhale more deeply and prolong the nictoine absorbtion time. In the EU its illegal to brand cigarettes as light.

I skimmed the article and I think the author should have used CaCl2 to improve the gelling strenght. Ca-alginate which is comparable in structure forms gels in very low concentrations when Ca ions are present.

This seems off by orders of magnitude. From data (Mycorrhizal Functioning: An Integrative Plant-Fungal Process; Michael Allen) an estimate of 200cm per gram of soil is mentioned. This would translate to 2000m per kilogram and 2.000.000m = 2

The Haber-Bosch process is not dependent on fossil fuels. With renewable sources (biogas instead of methane for H2 generation) the process is more expensive, but there are no technical limitations here that mandate the use of fossil fuels.

I cured mine with 10vol.% lavender oil + 10vol.% thyme oil in carrier oil (grapeseed oil). I couldn't be bothered by going to a doctor and it worked fine. Essential oils are non-selectively toxic so do be careful.
