   Yeah, similar setup here - I've plugged mine into the first HDMI port on my Onkyo receiver ( http://amzn.com/B0077V88V8 ), and everything works fine. Audio through the reciever, no TV on - plus I get the automatic input

   Sure - but a ton of people are swapping over to things like Browserify, which use NPM as the package manager even on the front end.
