So just to give you an example of what would be a product. Spotify is half way between service and product. What would make it further closer to a product would be (my suggestion): 1. No free version 2. And while you are at it, don't p

It was called the Spanish flu because they were a neutral country and hence the reporters were allowed to report on the flu. It doesn't have much more than that in common with Spain.

It could also be that cytokine storms were not known in 1979. The source I see on wikipedia is for 1991, but you can read the article if you like. [1] This is what essentially causes the "W" curve as opposed to Covid-19's &qu

One thing you can do is to look at the programs installed by default on Ubuntu Studio. It's a nice way of discovering Linux media apps without having to browse around on the web—most programs you would need are already installed, thoug

My opinion about this is that many apps and websites don't have a real product offering. FB, Dropbox, Twitter and others are more of a service offering than a product offering and hence everything is rooted around services and tracki

In other news, does anyone know whether there is an initiative now for a PS2 emulator on the Raspberry Pi 4? When the new Pi came out one of the most interesting things to me was that PS2 emulation should (maybe) now be possible.

Just my personal opinion here, but one should be careful to view the pandemic through the socialism vs. capitalism lens. I think it's better to focus on the particulars of events rather classifying them as in on of the two camps.

Not from the US, so not quite in phase with how things work. What can this tell us about actual unemployment and actual people that won't have a job now (short, medium or forever)?

I used Palatino for my thesis. The only downside is that the typefacing of mathematics is less standardised than Computer Modern. You have to play around with things in that regard. Edit: I think AMS Euler for the equations and Palatino for

I think that depends on whether you want your stuff to look like some definition of traditional. The equations in AMS Euler look good to me. [1] [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMS_Euler#/media/File:AMS_Eule

Can we infer from this that flu prior to 1918 was less severe on average? Or is the result not that strong?

Can confirm this too. Adding Salesforce, Docker, AWS, PostgreSQL, mySQL, MS SQL and stuff like that sometimes get scraped as keywords.

I agree with this 100%. People in South Africa are panic buying. So these people think you are taking the groceries to your cave. Get a sign and people can read for themselves.

I think I may be wrong about Berlin. Googling around it does seem like Toronto and Johannesburg are close together (both around 10 million trees), but are the trees in Toronto planted or natural? In JHB most of the trees were planted.

By the way, in Johannesburg this is not the case. The natural vegetation in many parts of the highveld here naturally had almost no trees. (Pretoria does have a lot of trees naturally.) Berlin is the only city in the world with more trees t

You don't need it, but sets are more primitive than numbers. For example, the category of finite sets without an NNO [1] is simpler or more foundational than the set of natural numbers. At the same time, this category is actually a
