This reasoning never made sense to me. We always could have hired them directly, offer them relocation or simply set up a subsidiary of an American company in Russia to keep them busy.

I'm having the time of my life working on Kit55 [1], a headless website builder based on Jinja2/Nunjucks, and specialized in multilingual site generation & SEO optimization. [1] https://stack55.com

Inflation washes out debt. Who think inflation is good? People, companies or institutions that are buried in debt to the tits. For the rest of us it is just an extra hand inside our pockets.

Check out Kit55 multilingual sites:. https://stack55.com/multilingual-sites/ compared to Hugo it is a walk in the park.

What do you mean with low code? HTML + CSS only?

As I mentioned in another comment somewhere else in the thread, there are a few apps (Lektor, Kit55, Pinegrow) that do exactly that.

In my opinion there are other things that are probably more important besides speed for medium size sites, like SEO optimization, ADA compliance or multilingual support.

Just don't use a CLI. There are multiple apps out there that would take your HTML and generate pages.

Nice article. WordPress and most of CLI solutions are covered well. I missed though a bit on apps and alternative site generators like Lektor, Pinegrow and our app, Kit55 ( https://stack55.com ).

We all have a "fascist" gene. The gene pool of humanity as a whole is very small, which lead researches to believe that we descend from a very small group of humans, maybe 10,000 or so, when our ancestors came out of Africa. That

This is the third version of our tool, which has been shrinking in features for the past few iterations. This is pretty much the simplest workflow we could come up that would help anybody to make a site multilingual.

I have some reservations about Tailwind. Seems to me that the only use case that makes easier is to directly copy and paste HTML code that works, but in general I think you are right. One missing piece of the puzzle in these kind of article

I recently had to make a tool that builds multi-language vanilla sites ( https://stack55.com ). Part of the job was to make a few sample sites in plain vanilla HTML/CSS/JS. After years of working with Angular + Node as m

This is a very promising architecture! We are actually building a template for Kit55 ( http://stack55.com ) that illustrates the use of Alpine,js. I think we should look into HTMX as well. Do you know if there is a comparison of A

Have you ever tried Jinja templates? Kit55 ( https://stack55.com ) provides a super simple tech stack with barely any config if all you need are static pages + a simple JSON based CMS backend. Disclosure - I work for Stack55.

There is indeed a <template> tag in HTML but it only works inside the current loaded page, i.e. to render rows inside a table. You cannot use it to include a header or a banner. In addition, the the tag relies on JS to be rendered.

If only standard HTML would support templating we could get rid of 80% of the tooling, maybe 100%. In fact, if I had to choose between two super simple tech stacks for static sites: 1) HTML + CSS + JS 2) HTML + CSS + Templating system I wou
