If your ISP does CGNAT a typical WireGuard setup won’t work without a public IP address. Tailscale makes it possible to use a VPN without a public IP. I use Tailscale with Starlink which uses CGNAT.

I just tried the wrt3200acm with openwrt for about a month and it wasn’t nearly stable enough. The wifi issue is pretty well know and people seem to be working on it but I’d stay away.

These could work super well for large camera rental houses that are constantly checking gear in and out. Lots of little parts to check in after a rental. This could save a ton of time.
