Used to be if you used Safari you can play video in the background. On iPad it also meant you can get picture-in-picture. Not sure if those "tricks" still work.

PS4 requires the physical disk in the drive to play. While yes you can simply share that copy with multiple people, they cannot play together simultaneously. With PSN you can have two people playing the one purchase of a game simultaneously

With Apple Music you can add your own tracks to iTunes and is available on all your devices. I wouldn't be surprised if Google Music works the same.
