Compared to Windows? Tahoe is probably fine. Compared to previous versions of macOS/OS X? Nothing deal-breaking for me, but there are all kinds of little things that just don't have the polish long-time macOS users are accustomed

In “recent history”, America invented EVs, and there was no competition? What kind of revisionist crap is that? Or am I just misreading your comment?

There are times when I wished our Ioniq 5 charged more slowly, like when I want to grab a bite. On a good day, back to 80% in 15 minutes, with a 10 minute grace period before the per-minute charges kick in, and there's barely time to

I was thinking more of EU, since BYD won't be selling cars in the US anytime soon, but you make an excellent point that maybe BYD wasn't thinking outside of China for at least the short term.

I'd be more interested in EVs if they didn't come with significant privacy and complexity trade-offs. You're going to be really disappointed when you go to look at new ICE vehicles. This "EVs are a privacy nightmare!&q

I'm having a hard time determining if "whacking it to AI army girl" dictates more or less self-examination in comparison to "women in armed forces should look like they have an OnlyFans account". :-)

It's not like EV owners were feeling regret when gas hit the (mythical ) $2/gallon. Gas could be free, and I'd still have no regrets. Because an EV is simply the better vehicle. And I think after over a decade of mass-produ

See those big T-shaped things in the picture? Those are the charging stations that BYD (or someone) is going to need to build to see those charging speeds. I'm not saying it can't be done, but as one with an 800V Hyundai that has

Short skirt, blonde hair, and the topper is the high heels. AI or not, someone needs to do some serious self-examination if that's their dream of a woman serving in the armed forces.

I agree linux is just as bad, but at least I can fix it! I for sure see the appeal. Even if macOS desktop were open source, though, I doubt I'd do much about my complaints. For my use cases, I don't want to turn OS maintenance i

Isn’t that Apple News+? You would be correct, but...and I say this as a subscriber to Apple's "all-in-one" package...Apple News+ is in many ways garbage. Low-rent articles from publications whose time has long passed (looki

I doubt it was an intentional change. A lot of bugs result from, "hmm, didn't think about that use case. Ooops." There's just the question of how long it'll be before they ship a fix. It seems like there ought to

No, it does not. It’ll bug the shit out of you to upgrade, but it won’t automatically do a major version upgrade. By default it will automatically do minor version upgrades (that can be turned off). That’s what makes the LLM bug report make

(arguably terrible) operating system macOS has made some arguably poor design choices, but it makes it hard to take someone seriously when they state the whole OS is terrible.

I don’t think TFA said Windows is better overall, but c’mon, even a diehard Mac user like myself can see how stagnated, say, task/app switching is on macOS in comparison to Windows. And things like Mission Control always seemed like a
