TechCrunch is just a joke. I would never go there outside of HN posts, but it's really amusing to see how self-important a bunch of hipster bloggers can be when writing about people doing actual work. The puff pieces that they run as the ma

Old article is old. In the 4 years since this article was written, nothing much has changed. You don't have an Ari Gold because the economics of software recruitment are different from that of the fictionalized A-list acting crowd. See othe

I'm newish to github and submitting pull requests but the OP's experience is very unfortunate and orthogonal to mine. People I don't know and who are better devs than I am have all been very nice. I started using a small PHP framework plugi

Watch out, we've got a badass over here. Not so much 'news' but perhaps a quick hack, nice reminder, a quick intro for the less experienced (who may not know what they are missing in the first place). Or perhaps someone who has set this up

Yahoo's been profitable for a long time, but their imminent death has been on the books for years. No growth, so the stock doesn't increase. Facebook was somehow hyped as being above the middling concerns that every other public company mus

Yes, it has happened. I'm comfortable forming an opinion based on the facts available. As I said in my comment, I'd like more info since it's ostensibly a public function to run a government court. Otherwise we can all just run around with
