I can’t tell from the article but JP Morgan may not be the defendant or target of investigation, in which case adverse interference won’t apply.

Yeah we mostly don’t do the start/stop thing with timers. For the most part we just have folks guesstimate the hours spent when the close or reassign a ticket. Hour or half hour precision is good enough. We don’t hide hours and use th

Similar point. I’ve been running an agency for 14 years. All that time we’ve tracked hours for every project whether T&M or fixed bid. Now when a project comes in for bid I always estimate it based on experience but then validate it aga

Their policy, if you scroll up from this link, is to scan only “aggregate metadata” and only if you opt in. GitHub aggregates metadata and parses content patterns for the purposes of delivering generalized insights within the product. It u

I dunno about other people but I’ve always assumed that if we’re giving employees, who we may have to fire someday, access to the code base that repos should be treated as if they could be exposed to the world at any time any way.

Ironically by bringing the case and losing it he has lost that (entirely theoretical) $7.75M value as corner crossing, particularly his specific corners is now codified in law.

io.js (node.js fork) seems like a parallel. It split off to get away from Joyents advisory board that was slowing down development and the trademark issues around Node. It was more performant in the short term with faster development cycl

One thing that EV's have an advantage of is the reduced footprint of their drivetrain. The primary bulk of an EV is the massive battery that usually spans the bottom of the car opening up space in the interior or the ubiquitous EV &qu

Comparing a Peloton to a gym is a bit of apples to oranges from a cost perspective. A more apt comp is a Peloton compared to a Spinning Studio. Most Spinning studios (Soulcycle seems to be the most popular) charges not by membership but per

Executive compensation packages work differently and tend to be much more bonus driven. Frequently these types of severance packages are to make up some sort of assumed bonus and ensure no compensation based contract disputes later.
