To be honest, the default behavior of silently resetting the session and not throwing seems wrong to me. It's reasonable to only store user auth information in a cookie, so resetting the session doesn't have the intended effect of logging

The way I read it, Chamath doesn't think the company will be as successful if this is the way employees are treated. That's a perfectly valid reason to pass -- it doesn't seem like a right vs. wrong stance.

My point is that data portability should be transitive. If by manually entering a friend's email address I 'own' that data, and it is thus valid for me to export, any service that imports that data should also allow exporting it. Otherwis

If you agree it's wrong to allow a friend to export my e-mail address, why should Google allow it either? It seems like Facebook wants to have its cake and eat it too.

YouTube never charged a subscription to see copyrighghted material and held back 'royalties' the owner never agreed to. I'll be surprised if grooveshark is still around in 1 year. Look at playlist.com, imeem, etc.

Inflation will be an issue at some point in the future, but with high unemployment I don't think it's likely for several years. If you're risk averse, broader market decline is a bigger worry than inflation IMO.

I'm interested in the nook for following reasons: - Access to public library books using Overdrive - Being able to 'lend' books purchased from B&N store for 2 weeks to other nook owners. I like B&N's focus on more customer friendly
