In recent versions of iOS, it literally says "Your carrier may charge for SMS messages used to activate iMessage" (or FaceTime or iCloud) ... so at least you know what's going on. It also gives you the option to cancel before

Does PSN use AWS? From the reports on twitter, it looks like it's more than just USA that's down. I'm in Canada, but see some reports of it not working in Europe as well.

Hi Kingsloi. So sorry to hear this. I just wanted to say that I hope time will deal with the pain. You'll always have the memory of her life, and of your love for her.

As someone who has driven across Canada on numerous occasions, it's a special kind of zen. I did BC to Newfoundland by myself, and 16-hour driving days were normal. I listen to podcasts, audiobooks, etc.

huh? It was a legit question. I've lived in a lot of places with different dialects of English. Where a term in one place is seen as harmless, but means something completely different in another. In this case, I've never heard

Really interesting work. I love the different models of how a fly moves around. This jumped out at me, though: >If we take a look at the animation now, we can see the flies look slightly more realistic (if not still a bit spazzy) Is &q

I'm really interested in the Pulp web-based development environment. I'm planning on picking up some of these to try with some junior-high and high school students in the fall -- if Covid is over by then :-)

For some of us in Northern Canada, this is how we alert bears that we're approaching. Even when not biking, we use "bear bells" that make constant noise. You don't want to sneak up on a bear.
