I stock up on Apple gift cards when they're 20% off at Costco. I'll buy $200-$300 and add it all into my account. So I'm getting 20% off all purchases, effectively, until the credit runs out.

What was your total cost, do you imagine, if you include your own labour? I'm originally from the Coimbra region (Mira and Penacova), and this is my dream! I'd love to retire back to Portugal and do something similar, but unfortun

Those Isuzu trucks are still being made, and are popular in Australia, South Africa, etc. Hit Google Images with "Isuzu Truck" for examples.

That's what's going on with the Apple Podcasts users, right? Isn't that what this article is saying? Users are rating podcasts, not the player. If you've gone through the trouble of downloading the app, and finding a p

Yeah, 4-way stops definitely need a stop sign. Or better yet, turn 4-way stops into roundabouts.

California stops are weird. If you're ok with a car just slowing down and yielding to traffic if necessary, why not use a "Yield" sign instead of a "Stop" sign? We have "yield" signs for entry onto highway

Right! For sure. But according to https://www.vice.com/en/article/xwqjg3/the-complete-untold-h... It was already an FPS by 1998, 2 years before Microsoft was involved, and a year before the video shown above

Honestly, that would have been awesome! I loved Myth and Myth II. A space-based one would have been great. I don't understand the timeline, though, as the videos shown at MacWorld in 1999 (before Microsoft), show Halo as a first-pers

Nah, here's a preview of Halo for Mac, in 1999. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebI5lkLRTdg Before Microsoft bought Bungie. It looks almost identical to the Xbox version from 2001. It definitely started as an RTS, b

Did you watch the video? It was basically complete before Microsoft bought it. They then ported it to Xbox. It may have been an RTS initially, but when Microsoft bought Bungie, it was already "Combat Evolved" and near release.

Yup, I'd pay $10 per month for my family. But I'm not paying $50 or $60 per month. The only difference over the free Google Workspaces is the domain name.

This is a solved problem. Roundabouts. Even when accidents happen in Roundabouts, they're generally not "T-bones" or hitting vehicles at 90º or head-on. They're more glancing-typing collisions. Much safer.
