Yep! ⌘-K clears the current terminal window. I chose ⌘-K because it maps to the standard in web apps (Discord, Notion, etc.) and I use `clear` whenever I want to clear my terminal, but you can choose whatever keybinding you want with cmdk.

Whoa thank you, this is amazing! I didn't even know this was possible; my life has gotten a little better.

Hey 0points, author here! I'd be keen to hear why binding the Cmd-K hotkey makes it feel like cmdk doesn't add value!

Good question! This is complementary, not competitive, to the built-in fzf shortcuts. I use both cmdk and built-in fzf shortcuts in my day-to-day. The concrete value-adds of cmdk (what fzf doesn't do out of the box): 1. Smart previews.

YES! I'm experiencing a separate-but-related problem to do with myopia, and my eyes perpetually getting longer (likely due to the long hours of computer use). I wish I could go back to completely undistracted building, but I realize no

I use a workout log app called Fitnotes: https://www.fitnotesapp.com/ I'm building a web app for exploring my training history, so my trainer (who's virtual) can explore my data the same way I can. Eventually, I&#

Thank you so much for linking these! Exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for; still making my way through the first article but fingers crossed there's an easy-to-use implementation at the bottom.

Thanks for checking it out; let me know how you like it! And yep, Cmd-k looks to be clear buffer.. I decided to go with Cmd-k rather than Cmd-P because: - Cmd-k seems to be the standard most of the world has settled on (Notion, Todoist, Sla

I've been frustrated with how slow terminal filesystem navigation feels in comparison with modern apps like Notion, Slack, Discord, etc. I discovered the amazing https://github.com/junegunn/fzf , and realized I co

I wonder if this is actually true, or if it's an instance of selection bias - the instances of things not working draw our attention more than the instances of things working. "This thing is working just fine" doesn't dr

I'm not sure if I'm convinced, but I find this perspective very interesting to think about - that Tiktok might actually be about finding signal in the noise. My objection is around whether "getting the point" really mean

I think the problem is signal-to-noise. For every thing that actually turns out to matter, there are hundreds of thousands of things that you're told are Important but turn out not to be. It's basically impossible to filter "

Exactly this. I suspect that "us vs them" is sweet poison: it feels good in the moment ("Yeah, stick it to The Man!") but it long-term keeps you trapped in a victim mindset.

I was looking for exactly this comment. Everybody's gloating, "Wow look how dumb AI is! Haha, schadenfreude!" but this seems like just a natural part of the evolution process to me. It's going to look stupid... until t

I had the exact same experience trying to build a startup. The thing that always puzzled me was Apple: they've grown into one of the most profitable companies in the world on the basis of high-quality stuff. How did they pull it off?

To provide a different perspective: this was caught, acknowledged as a problem, rolled back quickly, and written up in a post-mortem. Given that nothing can be done perfectly, this seems like the best way OpenAI could have handled it. What

Yep, application code can have the same problem! The difference is that application code lives "inside the abstraction" of the program, and is viewed and edited by a much smaller set of developers. Configuration, by contrast, sits
