Not pop psychology. I read his book Deep Work; it was well researched (and good). Also, he's a comp sci professor @ Georgetown and has an excellent podcast.

It might be the age of the kids; it's tough to snap older kids out of their disinterest in their parents, but vacations add leverage. I don't have experience with older kids, but I was told this recently by some parents.

Ah my beloved Zaurus 5500 with the camera card. I still have many grainy photos I took with it. The slide out keyboard was fantastic, and like all devices, it too ran Doom.

It's unfortunate that the indie web etc. isnt very useful for most commercial pursuits at this time. I hope that changes. I love the indie web for what it is, for personal use.

Fabbing our own chips is a no-brainer for maximum certainty around function, security, supply, etc. Agree with working together but many leaders don't see it that way, so it's best to remain realistic and be prepared for bad scena

I use Carlson also; from everything I've read, that is the best. I eat fatty fish a few times a week too, but I saw no harm in adding a little extra oil.

I experienced the same, although my gluten-induced inflammation is linked to something with my gut bacteria. If I take a certain antibiotic that targets the digestive tract, I can eat anything for 9 months, including gluten, without problem

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. That setting change prevents people from seeing "last seen", which is different than "online". The article talks about this as well.

1995 +/- a few years: red boxing still worked by talking to the operator and claiming that a button didnt work. Then you would tell the operator what # to call, and they would listen to the tones generated as you "deposited coins

Related: Antibiotics cured, for about a year, my severe gluten and corn intolerance. Then the gluten intolerance ame back. Ive gone through a few rounds of eliminating the gluten issues in this fashion, but the symptoms always return 10-16
