Is there any modern, reliable replacement for the old "Time Capsule" from Apple? I have a home server with samba, etc where I'm pushing Time Machine backups, but I'd prefer something standalone that doesn't require

Regarding using your work laptop for personal stuff, there is a very important security aspect to it I've not seen many people be careful about. When installing any software such as applications, or as developers, dependencies for your

Problem is, you need to figure out a way to send and receive data from the backend (an API), a way to show validation errors, a way to do i18n and translations, a way to access your database (an ORM or similar... no, no raw sql, thanks , a

90% of the applications we use react for could be built in a more sustainable way with Unpoly or a similar solution. But that's not cool, so...here we are.

I agree with all the overengineered stuff argument, but this is not as easy as you describe except for the simplest of the use cases. For example, you might have on screen a component (something inside a modal for example) that might need s

The catch is that this is intentionally made inconvenient. If it were a config setting I could just put it there, commit, and forget about it. By making me setting an environment variable you are forcing me to remember to set it up in my inf
