Absolutely. Same applies for schools. In particular, not every school/university should do it by it's own. But they all together should do so (e.g. by funding the creation of open content). That would allow to give out books (or c

IMO, if universities want to use "AI", they should use their resources to implement their own, open language models rather then implementing a commercial one.

I learned a bit about dbus when I was scripting the controller of my home battery (victron energy, I use their "venus os" linux on a raspberry pi). I like the discoverability of dbus. One can just query the bus and talk with all r

Could you elaborate this? Is the melting because you suddenly have lot of energy and no way for cooling?

I wonder if the material of all the stuff in our sun's orbit would be sufficient to build a dyson sphere. Afaik, 99% of the mass of our solar system is the sun itself...

Good point. Since all our planets surround the sun more or less in the same plane, the dyson sphere could cover the remaining 95% of the sphere without affecting the planets too much. Remains the issue that you'd probably need the mate

So instead of seing a hot "small" spot (the star), we'd see a warm (a bit above absolute zero) but very large sphere?

I use Gosund SP112. Available at Amazon, ~12€ / plug. Flashable with Tasmota or ESPHome (I use the later). It can switch the mains as well as one USB-A power outlet. You need to open it to flash it the 1st time. There's at least o

I'd say 30% or less. Works not at light, works bad at non-homogenous daylight. And you need to look against a window to look into the screen.

I have been creating print labels with plot/cut lines using css and I used browsers to covert it to PDF. The experience was terrible. While all was perfect on my 1-page proof print, both large browsers messed up the final document (wit

The "magic" is that the TLD is reserved for internal use. Before, people used different domains like ".lan", ".local". Problem with those is that it can happen at any time that one of these becomes a valid TLD
