Probably mis-represented myself. For my sins 30 odd years of MS stack. Doing exactly the money market stuff you're talking about (50bn$ PnL system on last job). I know you know, but how many people understand the transaction isolation

I agree. No two systems are comparable. Must be very confusing for the people ramping up. A solution fits the problem, not the other way around. Keep it simple stupid. KISS

This lives on the assumption (one I often see repeated) that everyone is writing code to the same requirements and implementation details as you. If I'm in a washing machine I;m in total control (or bloody well should be).

Back in 1988 I wrote a holiday/sick calendar app with basic reporting. The first thing management in EVERY department did was predict the sick days. I found that out 5 years after I had left.

Great idea chap but a word of caution - don't spend any money advertising in the UK. The weather here is generally hot, sunny, raining - mild chance of thunderstorm, hail and snow with a 50% chance of wind. Good luck.
