You miss his point. It is much easier to consume Objective-C API from Swift then consuming swift API from Objective-C. Even more so if you need the library integrated at a C++ layer of your app.

Because it is a business. Actions have to be focused around objectives, where goals are the stepping stones to said objective. "Why can't they be a company that just makes good tools and sells them to people?" That in itself

I wonder, what are the current opinions about the end game for Unity? What is the goal of seeking this new funding? My understanding was they are profitable.

The threading model is poorly written. It is very hard to setup. Keeping legacy model data and writing transformers for said data is painful (person upgrades the app, schema changed). There are lots of crashes we've seen at scale. Also

While this post is nice and formal, I'd like to break away anecdotally for a moment. I want to say that working at Uber has been the most awesome, rewarding experience of my engineering career. I've never met an organization that

I am very critical of America's torture, surveillance apparatus, wars and all the things you list. However, it cheapens the discussion you and I have against it. Terrorism is fundamentally very different from an invading and occupying

I have to agree with you. Having been in that position, sometimes its better to just run out and be happy with your profit. I've seen situations where a price hike is too severe, and you end up selling less, which causes a smaller prof

Anecdotally related: I was recently at Golden Gate park, and one of my co-workers was flying a tiny drone a few hundred feet over us. The noise was very annoying. I hope that if this technology does ever become mainstream, we find a way to

Let us not make wide sweeping statements about the journalistic relationship between one of the world's largest news organizations and one of the world's largest nations. Seems a bit blunt.

I wonder if there is something in the human mind that attempts to reject Occam's razor. It seems as though a lot of conspiracy theories are significantly more popular than they should be.

I think what you are describing is just action-reaction. Cause and effect. Something happens, people react. I hate to oversimplify, but this is at the very core of human nature. A societal supply and demand...
