Was looking for this. I don’t think competition comes as a 100% feature complete alternative but rather as a splintering into more specialized tools.

Pretty much. They’ll take money wherever they can predictably get it. They’re not deep into crypto for the same reason they’re not deep into horse racing.

Good summary. There’s also the accusation that a lot/most of those tethers were not paid for at all and simply minted and used to purchase Bitcoin.

I don’t think DirecTV is deploying these any more in favor of the gen 2 Genie that has wireless built into the main receiver. Not sure how inclined they’ll be to push a fix

Pretty sure. Their suggestion for those with the "inferior" chipset is to buy a crappy femtocell that probably has a qualcomm chip in it.

Musk has said on a few occassions that he can achieve full automony on a Tesla with no LIDAR setup. I think instead they use a front-facing radar and a bunch of cameras. Maybe IR?. Levandowski strongly disagrees and sees LIDAR as critical

It’s very relevant for the older demographics that they serve. That same demographic also votes at a higher rate than the general population.

Yeah I’m pretty sure you’d have to use private APIs to be able to fake reviews using the new controller. They’d probably ban your developer account if you tried this. Don’t think it would be worth it.

Was sad to see that karabiner no longer works. I discovered that bettertouchtool can substitute for my purposes (adding media keys to a dasKeyboard)

Samsung SDI is their battery manufacturing subsidiary. ATL is Amperex Technology Limited, a Chinese battery manufacturer.

It's an issue with batteries manufactured by Samsung SDI. Hong Kong Note 7's have batteries from ATL and are not subject to the recall

While the GoogleCast API’s are part of Play services, the rest isn’t true. Communication between a GoogleCast device and your phone takes place mostly locally.
