Seconding this. If you're into it, it's pretty awe-inspiring to see open water all the way to the horizon, 360°.

I've never seen evidence of a mainstream consumer device doing this either. Got some examples I can look at?

I see this claim posted a lot, and not a single person has ever provided evidence of it happening with any TV brand I've ever heard of.

Someone needs to sell replicas (forgive the pun) of these.

This is super cool (and the kind of comment that I love reading on HN!), thanks for sharing.

Of course not. Perhaps you misread the comment I was replying to? Quoting from it: > I will take a screenshot of a new type in my IDE and put a red box around it.

This post has the highest % of unflagged comments in violation of the HN guidelines I've seen in a long time. All the constructive/neutral comments are downvoted, too, giving them even more visibility.

Please just use text for that. PR descriptions on GitHub sufficiently support formatting.

I think a tangential interesting question is: how many monthly active users does Firefox have, that choose to use Firefox ? Not people who "click the internet icon", etc. Like you, I suspect the brand recognition and loyalty is m

Unintended: agreed. Unexpected: plenty of us called out this inevitability when the CT proposal was circulated.

I fully accept there is pain relief value. What I wish were better studied is: what are the short, medium, long-term effects of using it at various dosages? For example, it's pretty widely agreed that it (anecdotally) causes anxiety at

Oh yes, of course. Thank you. 422 GB. Looks like my wife has slightly more.

Yeah, the plan would be external disk -> offsite storage. I wouldn't bother to encrypt, it's just family photos and I wouldn't want to complicate restores. Especially if it was my wife who eventually needed to use it.

Thanks, I have the same problem and need to do something about it. I wonder if it can calculate (estimate) how big of an external disk I'll need. My wife and I each have 40-50k photos and a few thousand videos in iCloud Photos.

I was referring to attributes of the ComfyUI software/project, not the idea of serving an image generation API to be clear. There are several of those providers.

"No problem, Deputy Smith. I'll call you back at your listed number now to complete your request." What am I missing? Not doing this is negligent. Same advice we'd give to phishing targets.

Claude Code and its ecosystem is what made me pick Anthropic over OpenAI for our engineers, when we decided to do seat licensing for everyone last week. It's a huge asset.

One of the last times I commented in a thread like this, someone looked at my profile (which has my real name), found me on LinkedIn, and then posted my employer's name in a reply to me, calling out an alleged conflict of interest (you
